App of the Day: BroccoliBike

I spied this game as I was looking through the app store today, and the sheer WTF factor was so high that I couldn't help but share it with you, dear readers.

The game is called BroccoliBike. The objective is to replace bicycle seats with bunches of broccoli, without getting caught.

Seriously.

I'm sure you have a look of confusion and disbelief on your face right now. It's okay, I do too.

Apparently, its based on an anime called Nochijō, and has also spawned a real-life copycat incident at the University of Tokyo.

Those crazy Japanese college students!

Seriously.

I don't get it.

The game play is simple, you alternate pressing the seat and broccoli buttons, if someone appears at the window, press the "run away" button.

Both Apple and Android users have been equally "blessed" to have this game available to them (just do a search, you'll find it).  I love that the instructions on how to play include the warning "do this in game only".

The best thing about this game is that you don't have to pay for it - well, aside from the time you'll never get back.

T-Shirt of the Day: Clockwork Gears

Today's T-Shirt of the Day comes from a booth that I spotted at Interbike last month. I loved the designs from Clockwork Gears, and talked for a few moments with the owner, Jed. He offered me a shirt, but seeing as - according to the wife - I have too many t-shirts (is that even possible?), I instead let her choose one.



She selected the "Mermaid Bike" design, which I have to say is a great design.

Seasonal CLIF Bar Flavors are Here

Yes, it's that time of year again. CLIF Bar has released their seasonal flavors. Returning flavors Iced Gingerbread and Spiced Pumpkin Pie are joined by a new flavor, Pecan Pie.

How is the new flavor? The wife and I both tried the new flavor, and found it especially yummy. I'll bet throwing it into the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up, and serving it with a scoop of vegan ice cream would be incredible!

The flavors are available now, and you can find them in the normal places you find things like this. CLIF Bar is also giving 1% of sales to Protect our Winters, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting against climate change.
