I have a few favorite blogs that I follow on a regular basis. Tim Jackson, aka Masi Guy, was racing at the San Diego Velodrome last week when he swerved up to avoid another cyclist who slowed down and pulled up the track. Tim hit the boards going 35+ mph. Along with a bad case of road rash, he has a skull fracture, broken knee, broken ribs, a nearly-severed thumb, and other injuries. His friend, Blue Squirrel has a more in-depth report of his condition and pictures as well.
The last report that I heard was that they were successful in reattaching his thumb, and he was out of the hospital. He has at least a 12 week recovery ahead of him. Here's to a speedy recovery for Tim.
